Copper Cannon Camp is growing again! Over the last 15 years, the progression of our Master Plan has guided significant improvements to the camp. Thanks to your help, essential facilities such as the dining hall, garden, and pond have been constructed, enriching our youth’s experience, and strengthening our operations. Now, in the final stretch of these expansions, the Play It Forward campaign is set to ensure long term viability with the building of two remarkable additions to our campus — Ben’s Casita and the Doyon Sports Court — allowing future generations of children to grow and play.
Sitting at the edge of the swimming pond, Ben’s Casita is a covered, central area for programming and playing by the water. In memory of Ben Moyer, the Casita celebrates his years as the camp’s Chairman of the Board and one of its most dedicated supporters.
The Doyon Sports Court is rising from the land next to the meadow. This outdoor pavilion provides a covered area for playing basketball, pickleball, floor hockey, line dancing, and much more. Dedicated to the memory of Maurice and Cecile Doyon, devoted benefactors and advocates of the camp, the Doyon Sports Court allows the children to play, rain or shine! Building the dream generous contributions from the families and friends of Ben, Maurice, and Cecile kicked off the funding for the Play It Forward campaign.
Construction costs and a reserve fund, to cover operating and long-term maintenance, total $780,000. The campaign has raised $674,000 — almost 87% of our goal! With your help, we can reach that goal. The Doyon Family has generously offered an additional donation, matching up to $50,000 in contributions made through July 31, 2024. Only together can we play a pivotal role in creating life-changing opportunities for deserving children.
With Your Help Since 1963, Copper Cannon Camp has served more than 25,000 children. Our mission is to enrich the lives of the under-served youth in New Hampshire by providing a quality, tuition-free summer camp experience. Our dedication to fostering friendships, focusing on outdoor activities, and creating unforgettable memories has left a lifelong impression on these children.
Your ongoing support allows us to continue our mission. With the completion of Ben’s Casita and the Doyon Sports Court, campers will have all the room they need to play, play, play.
Our work is grounded in Copper Cannon Camp’s mission to enrich the lives of under-served youth of New Hampshire by providing a quality tuition-free camp experience. Copper Cannon Camp’s plan to build a new facility is an important investment in the future of thousands of young people.
